What raw material is used to make your sapphires? It is alpha aluminum oxide, I know, but is this alpha A12O3 made out of bauxite, or is it chemically synthesized?

Yes, you are right, it is alpha aluminum oxide. Of course, out of bauxite (cheaper). But really type of the raw material depends from Growing method. We used the crackle crystals from Verneule manufacture.
