We'd like to measure some effects on materials in an oven. The product itself can increase temperatures up to 2000°C. I have no idea about the air temperature of the oven. I want to use sapphire as a window for a cooled thermal imaging camera from 3-5µm. Would Sapphire be the right choise? What is the thickness I should take, or is there a maximum diameter? Is it possible to buy just one or two pieces?
Do you want to put the sapphire window in hole of the high temperature chamber? Then you have to use the Sight window with sapphire. The connection Sight window and chamber will be through threaded connection. You can see in our website a little information about that. We can supply the Sapphire Sight windows, but we have to know some parameters: housing type & size, sealing method - for example, thread type on your oven (chamber), clear aperture (CA) size, optical clarity required, wavelingth transmission required, minimum/maximum operating pressure, min/max operating temperature, internal or external pressure use, chemical exposure (type of gas, liquid, etc. — obligatory), any additional information.
